EMRLS Holiday Hours

All EMRLS library locations will be closed on the following days for a staff development day and in observance of the upcoming holiday season: 

• December 23rd: Staff Meeting
• December 24th: Christmas Eve
• December 25th: Christmas Day
• January 1st: New Year's Day 

In addition, the Heidelberg branch will be closed on the following Saturdays: December 27th and January 3rd.

Make sure to visit us ahead of time to take care of all your holiday reading/viewing needs! If you can't make it in, don't worry. Our eBooks are available to our patrons 24/7 on OverDrive!

EMRLS patrons can now check out eBooks via Overdrive! To get started, click the image above, or visit http://mlpebooks.lib.overdrive.com/.

When you get to the website, click on "Sign In" in the upper right-hand corner. You'll then select the East Mississippi Regional Library System as your library. Finally, you'll need your library card number (located on the back of your card) and a pin number, which will be the last four digits of the phone number we have on file for you.

With over 1,400 titles to choose from already (and new titles being added everyday) there is truly something for everyone!

Genealogical & Historical Society Open House

Make sure to join the Jasper County Genealogical & Historical Society for an Open House this Saturday, October 4th, from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Mary Weems Parker Memorial Library in Heidelberg! 

Visitors will be able to browse genealogical resources, including Civil War and cemetery records, family histories, Jasper county histories, and more. 

Society members will be on hand to assist visitors who need assistance finding particular pieces of genealogical and historical information.

Members will also be accepting donations of family records or history, and other types of histories which would be useful to the community. Refreshments will be served, and all are welcome!

Staff Meeting and Holiday Hours

All EMRLS branches will be closed on September 1st in observance of Labor Day. In addition, all EMRLS branches will have revised hours on August 28th due to a scheduled staff meeting. Hours will be as as follows:

Storytime at the Bay Springs Municipal Library
